SEVEC cares about the opinions and ideas of young Canadians like you! The SEVEC Youth Advisory Committee, otherwise known as "The YAC", is made up of youth from across Canada who provide SEVEC with recommendations to improve and develop our youth learning programs.

What do members of "The YAC" do?

• agree to be on the committee for two years (from June to June)
• are available to travel to Ottawa on their own once during their time on the committee
• agree to respond to a minimum of 6 e-mails throughout the year
• agree to participate in teleconferences during the year
• are willing to work on initiatives and projects determined by the Committee
• agree to participate in media and public relations associated with their committee participation

Members of the committee are selected in June. Membership in the committee runs from June to June.
