| ABOUT SEVEC | | | Shaping responsible citizens and future leaders SEVEC is a national charity with more than 70 years experience and over 300,000 youth who have participated in our programs. We provide young Canadians, between the ages of 12 to 17, with an inclusive and unique experiential learning opportunity to gain respect and understanding of our Canadian diversity through language, cultural and special interest exchanges, forums, youth projects and educational visits in Canada. SEVEC is recurrently recognized as a trustworthy leader in experiential learning. In 2000, SEVEC was selected as the major delivery partner for the federal government, through Exchanges Canada. In 2004, SEVEC was presented with the Association for Canadian Studies’ (ACS) Award of Merit which recognizes those who have continuously and significantly contributed to the development of knowledge about Canada. SEVEC arranges for funding of the travel component of the exchange programs while providing and facilitating innovative, experiential learning models and activities that are available to youth during the school year as well as the summer:- Exchanges focusing on language, culture, leadership, community engagement and volunteerism
- Educational roundtables and forums facilitating youth-focused discussions
- Educational trips to Quebec City, Montréal, Ottawa and Toronto
