| | Language and Cultural Exchanges | | | Enhancing curriculum through experiential learning SEVEC’s greatest strength is its one to two week reciprocal home-stay exchange program for groups of youth between the ages of 12 and 17 who are either Canadian citizens or permanent residents of Canada. Programs take place during the school year or over the summer. Whether you wish to organize a bilingual exchange, an inter-cultural exchange or prefer to have an intra-cultural exchange, we offer theme-based activities; such as volunteerism & community involvement, science, history, geography, arts & culture, sports and music, that can support your curriculum objectives. Our exchanges: - Cover travel costs
- Are affordable: youth pay only for the tourist activities their group selects (Range: 100 - $400 per youth).
- Offer unique experiences and insights.
- Help youth gain a deeper understanding of the shared aspects and diversity of our country.
- Improve self-confidence, self and social awareness, independence, and goal setting.
- Present an opportunity for participants to connect with other youth and have the time of their lives!
- Provide hands-on learning about living in Canada in a non-formal context.
- Provide equal access for all abilities and situations.
A membership fee of $50.00 per group is required upon application. Upon confirmation of an exchange, a fee of $40.00 per exchange participant is applicable. | | |
