For the past eight years, Connie has provided strategic consulting & coaching services to clients in a variety of industries. Her work has been conducted for large, mid-sized and start-up firms in the telecommunications, contact centre, energy, oil and gas, private and public health care, non-profit, and education sectors. She is a graduate of the International Coach Federation (ICF) accredited program Newfield Coaching and Organizational Learning and holds the ICF Credential Associate Certified Coach (ACC). |

| Christine G. Rapp, Q.C., Past President Edmonton, AB
Ms Rapp is a lawyer in Edmonton and a former partner with Field LLP. In her general commercial practice, Ms Rapp provides legal services to corporations, educational institutions, individuals and charities. As a longtime professional and community volunteer, she has been involved with schools, community leagues, charities, The Law Society of Alberta, Legal Education Society of Alberta, and Canadian Bar Association, Athletics Alberta and the Student Finance Board for the Province of Alberta. In addition to her work with SEVEC, Ms Rapp has an ongoing interest in human rights and has participated in the John Humphrey Centre for Peace and Human Rights for several years. Ms. Rapp considers it a privilege to have acted as the President of SEVEC for the past three years and thanks her fellow Board members for their hard work and continued commitment to the young people of Canada. She is proud to be part of an organization which provides opportunities for Canadian youth and helps to create tomorrow’s leaders. She looks forward to continuing in her role as Past President and knows that SEVEC will be well-served by its incoming President, Mr. Roch Carrier, and wishes him all the best in his new role. |

| Patrick Balsom St. John’s, NL Since 2006, Patrick has been a lecturer in the Department of French and Spanish at Memorial University of Newfoundland. Prior to 2006, Patrick spent over thirty years in the Kindergarten – Grade 12 education system. During that time, he served in various capacities: as a Core French teacher, a curriculum consultant and an administrator. As an employee in the Public Service of Newfoundland and Labrador, Patrick was responsible for minority-language education and second-language instruction and represented the Province at both the Atlantic regional and pan-Canadian levels. |

| Bruce Bishins Toronto, ON Bruce first began working in the travel industry more than 40 years ago as a Passenger Services Agent and has since become recognized worldwide as one of the foremost industry educators and agency advocates. He created, built, and implemented the world’s largest travel agency training and education organization for the Airline Training Council; which trained, at its peak, over 11,000 travel agents per year in technical, marketing, and sales skills. He was a Professor of Travel and Tourism at Georgetown University, developed the first national training program for business travel departments and travel agencies, wrote and edited a ‘Travel Agent Handbook’ and has sat as a Board Member for the Travel Industry Council of Ontario. As a leader in the travel industry, Bruce brings a wealth of valuable knowledge to SEVEC’s Board of Directors. |

| Katherine d'Entremont Fredericton, NB Katherine is currently the Chief Executive Officer for the National Adult Literacy Database. She has more than 17 years of experience in various New Brunswick government positions. Most recently, she has spent a number of years as Director, Local Governance and Community Leadership, Department of Local Government. Prior to that, she held positions as: Acting Assistant Deputy Minister, Municipal Services Division, Department of Environment and Local Government; the Director, Official Languages and Workplace Equity Branch, Department of Finance and many others. Katherine has also worked as a strategic planning consultant in the college sector and as a public school teacher. Katherine is fluently bilingual, has extensive presentation experience, a broad understanding of local, provincial and federal government, considerable community and not-for-profit board experience, and a passion for life-long learning. |

| Mariette Ferré Winnipeg, MB Ms. Ferré has spent her thirty-five year career in the Manitoba education system, initially as a teacher in Français, English and Immersion schools and then as a curriculum consultant at the Bureau de l'éducation française, Manitoba Education. During the last twenty-two years of her career, she served as Staff Officer for The Manitoba Teachers' Society, providing services in both official languages to teachers across the province in staff development, labour relations and collective bargaining including the merger of eleven collective agreements for the francophone school division in Manitoba. She has served as a volunteer member on many boards. Ms. Ferré holds a Master in Education degree with specialisation in administration and education law. She is serving her second term as member of the SEVEC Board of Directors. |

| Stacia Loft Toronto, ON Ms. Loft has over four years experience working with Indigenous youth, including working in the Commonwealth of Dominica for the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) as a program director to empower Indigenous youth. She has an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Western Ontario. While studying in London, Ontario, Ms. Loft worked as a community resource/policy officer, and a Native court-worker working to help Aboriginal youth. In her current position as program manager at the Native Canadian Center of Toronto, she received the “Spirit Award” from INROADS – an organization which prepares youth for corporate and community leadership – at their Annual Awards Reception and Dinner. Ms. Loft has recently joined the SEVEC board of directors, where she continues to empower youth. |

| Denise Nawata Vancouver, BC Denise works as an associate practicing for a prominent Vancouver law firm in the areas of securities & corporate finance. She has also worked as a Legal Advisor for the Calgary Immigration Aid Society and as an English Language Instructor in Japan. Denise is dynamic, energetic and very knowledgeable in the field of law, bringing excellent assets with her to SEVEC’s Board of Directors. |

| Mary E. Reeves Grand Bay-Westfield, NB Mary has a teaching career that spans more than 35 years, including roles as Teacher, Principal, and Superintendent. She currently works as an educational and organizational consultant where she has provided workshops on governance, policy development for NGO’s, supervisor for student teachers, written Handbook For Administrators: Supporting Quality French Second Language Programs, produced reports on performance indicators and accountability. Mary’s volunteer experience is extensive with positions on many boards, educational and leadership committees, including a position as Vice-president and Director for Canadian Parents for French’s National Board of Directors. Mary continues to be a volunteer advisor with CESO both in national and international programs, and a member of the Saint John (New Brunswick) Business Community’s Action Plan Initiative to eliminate poverty in that city. Mary also provides workshops on Board/Council governance. |
